Law of Attraction: Demystifying the unhelpful expression "fear of success", by Michael Losier

In a recent coffee meeting with a friend, we were chatting about his goal of becoming a Professional Speaker. He has been sharing his goal with a few people, two who have suggested he is FEARING SUCCESS.

Hmmm, "fearing success"? Not likely, this guy is a powerhouse and gets things done. I believe most people want to embrace and welcome success. Do you? I certainly embrace and welcome success. So where does this expression come from? What does it mean?

It's an important question to ask, because Law of Attraction will match that fear and stop you from realizing your goals or your dreams. Fearing success is projecting a negative vibration, which will get matched EVERY time by Law of Attraction.

Is it the success we fear or is it the CHANGE that will occur that we fear?

I asked my friend a few questions and we easily figured out that he was fearful of the uncertain future that goes hand in hand with a major life change. It was the expectation of uncontrollable change that frightened him and not simply the idea of professional success.

For example, I heard him say that he is scared to eventually have to leave his job-job (you know the one) to fully engage himself as a Professional Speaker.

Here is where Law of Attraction can be utilized deliberately. I suggested to my friend that he use the Law of Attraction to attract all the sources, resources, contacts and information that he will need to make his job-job transition easy, joyful and with confidence.

In 1999, I had a good government job and wanted to leave it for my Law of Attraction coaching and training career. Did I fear success? No, I wanted it. But what I did fear was the same as my friend. I feared leaving my good job, I feared the change in my time, my money etc. I used Law of Attraction to start my business, grow my business and now I'm maintaining my success with Law of Attraction.
