Good Vibes September Newsletter - Sonia Choquette PhD

Dear Beloved Six Sensories,

I am presently in London England, getting ready to present for the first time at the I Can Do It UK Conference. I am so excited and grateful to be here and be part of this wonderful healing event. As I write I’m also winding up my worldwide tour which began last month in Perth, and then took me to Sydney, Auckland, Helsinki, Hamburg, and now here, to London. The entire journey has been an extraordinary heart–to- heart connection with thousands of people from around the globe. No matter where I went, whether at my workshops, in the stores, at the hotels, or on the streets, I found people everywhere to be warm, kind, accommodating, friendly, eager to help, and genuinely loving and sweet.

In every city I visited some well-intended person would inevitably tell me, or more specifically try to “warn“ me about “ the people” in that city before I met them, saying they were generally either shut down, or defensive, or reserved, or cautious, or some other closed state of being, and that I shouldn’t take it personally should I encounter that kind of reception from them. Yet, never once did I find these predictions to be true.

In Perth, people sang their hearts out with me and to each other. In Sydney our workshop turned into a full out jamboree of spirited dance. In Auckland, the audience spontaneously sang my newly 21 year-old-daughter a heartfelt “happy birthday” and sent her and the world a blessing, and in Helsinki we “disco-ed” our way out of fear. Here in the UK I’ve been hugged, taken to dinner, and even offered a free massage to ease my aching back, all with good intention and the spirit of love behind it.

I’m sharing this because I feel it is important to recognize that all the bad stuff we hear about in the world is not the full story, and not an accurate picture of what is occurring on the planet earth at all. Yes, there are horrible things going on, things which need dramatic improvement and immediate attention, none of which I am in denial. I’m all for all of us addressing the darkness and working very hard to reverse it. And yet, as Einstein once said, you cannot solve a problem with the same effort it took to create it. To focus on the darkness is to ignore and miss the light.

The Spirit of we human beings, in spite of our problems, always shines. It is ceaselessly loving, open, interested, and intensely bright, even through the clouds of our leaning curve, and it is up to us to notice. And if we do notice, we will see, as I just have, people everywhere around this globe brilliantly sharing and shining the light of their spirit into the world in their own private ways.

As long as we are alive and have breath in our bodies we carry a Divine Light within us, and this light is beautiful. Maybe if more of us dare to share our joy, our love of life, express our appreciation for people, and cease our condemnation of ourselves and others, recognize the light and goodness in ourselves and others, and say so out loud and freely, the present darkness on the planet will begin to lift. Shining the light of your Spirit is something each one of us can do right now, today, to help alleviate the darkness in this world. Fortunately this isn’t difficult to do. A deep breath, a smile, an open hand, a thank you, patience, and a kind heart is a powerful start. Do not allow the problems of this world darken your light. So please join me and let us all shine on. AAAHHH!

All my love
Sonia
