Stay SLIM in winter!

Winter – eek!  Bulky clothes – yuck!  “Comfort” food – yum.

Half the year has passed us by, we’ve been working hard, we’re getting tired, we’re cold.  And we are watching the kilos and centimetres start to pile on, yes?  Some of us have kept to a balanced wellness routine.  But most of us haven’t.  And we try to hide our heads in the sand and hope that come September, our bodies under our bulky clothes will be slim, trim, fabulous.  At some point we will rush out - again - in search of that one incredible quick fix, the single tablet/beverage/mindset/affirmation/lotion that will miraculously help us keep off the traditional winter fat and/or shed 20kgs overnight, firm up all the bits and pieces, bring down our dress size by double digits, while encouraging us to eat as we wish. And we ourselves don’t need to do much more than swallow the potion or say the affirmation and visualize ourselves as gorgeous and slim.

Feeding our fantasy -  tons of adverts out there feeding our fantasy of overnight quick fixes and carrying on as usual, doing the same thing over and over but hoping for a different result (which is, apparently, the definition of insanityJ) We’re willing to spend some money but we want the change to happen overnight, and we completely ignore the fact that we will not gain all those kilos overnight but we want them off in an instant.  We will panic just before it’s time to disrobe and get into our nice, slinky summer gear.

Lifestyle changes -  we do not want to make any lifestyle changes or any sacrifices – heck, as women we sacrifice every day for everyone in our lives.  We still do not want to think about the “F” word or the “C” words. Good fat/bad/saturated/unsaturated/poly/mono, calories, cellulite – horror! - carbs shmarbs, detox … We want this to be quick, easy, painless.

And then we wake up from our dream and find a serious, committed wellness consultant at the end of a phone empowering us, offering support, sage advice, and fantastic herbal products that will do the trick.  But it won’t happen overnight.  It will, however, be simple, it will restore our energy levels, it will give us great balanced nutrition, it will give us loads of nutrients, low calories, portion control, it will help firm up all the wobbly bits, and it will all taste super delicious.  And we will be able to prepare our daily food in the blink of an eye.
