Why wait is a four letter word, by Nancy Fox

What Are You Waiting For?

There are no magic bullets.

I wish there were.

One of the biggest errors business owners and professionals make is using the "W" word as a business decision-making strategy.

I'm waiting for new business to come in.
I'm waiting for the market to turn around.
I'm waiting until I get my degree.
I'm waiting to ask my wife, my husband, my mother, father.
I'm waiting for after Labor Day, after Christmas, after New Years.

Society rewards us for sage, deliberate waiting and pondering and thinking.

Ask any successful entrepreneur or CEO and he or she will tell you that a key secret to their success was quick, decisive action (not foolish, thoughtless action) but trusting their intuition and then acting promptly.

Here's the reality:

There are no guarantees for return on your investments (ROI).

There are no certainties that your decisions to invest, or change, or add people, or subtract people, or revamp, or rebrand will work.

It's all up to you to make these things happen.

Make no mistake - I'm right in there with you.

I also want certainty, safety, and a guarantee that I will get payback for my decisions and investments in my business.

The difference is I've learned to trust my intuition, because I now trust me.

The real reason people wait to take action is lack of trust and belief not in others, but in their own "rightness" about making that decision, lack of trust in their ability to produce results and willingness to be accountable for producing the desired results.

It's much easier to say, I'm not ready and I don't do things until I feel ready.

People, your feelings aren't facts! Your intuition is much more honest.

I never would have built my business if I had waited until I FELT ready. I never would transformed my business into the model I have today working with my ideal clients if I had waited to be ready. But I intuitively knew the right actions to take even though I didn't feel comfortable.

I felt the discomfort, and acted anyway.

This year, I waited to sell my house. Bad move, and took a lower price because I didn't trust my intuition.

I know that you often know you want to take action on an opportunity and you put this off because you are waiting for better timing, better conditions.

I invite you to stop waiting and start trusting yourself. You already know what the right thing to do is. That little voice in your head is telling you not to hire that person because their attitude is bad, to launch a new website because yours does nothing for your business and doesn't allow you to attract and interact with clients, to work with higher level advisors, to stop waiting and get out there to network up with the higher level business people.

I invite you to stop waiting for all the wrong reasons, and start trusting yourself to take the right actions now.

To your prosperity, fulfillment, and success,
